Our Founder's

Address

Pal, Panha_edited.jpg

"Every parent dreams of giving their child the best future possible — a life of happiness, security, and fulfilment. Yet, in today’s fast-changing world, many of us sense that something essential is being lost. Despite society’s progress, our children are growing up in a world marked by anxiety, conflict, and disconnection. We see it in broken families, restless youth, disrespect in classrooms, and widening divides in society.

This is not simply an academic problem — it is a quiet crisis:

a loss of morality.

The Buddha taught that behind the challenges we face lies the plague of ignorance — a blindness driven by greed, hatred, and delusion. It is this ignorance that clouds judgment, disrupts relationships, and leaves even the most “materially successful” individuals feeling restless and unfulfilled.

The Path Forward:

Becoming a Dhamma Warrior

At Pal Buddhist School, we exist to offer a way forward. We believe education must go beyond preparing students for exams or careers. It must strengthen morality, awaken the mind, and nurture the heart.  We raise Dhamma Warriors — young leaders imbued by upright moral conduct, discipline and wisdom.

These warriors cuts through the fetter of life’s pain and suffering with truth and kind hearts. They are energetic heros who have deep faith in the eightfold noblepath. Through pure conduct imbued by compassion, lovingkindness, selfless joy and equanimity, they act for the benefit of themselves and others. Our Dhamma Warriors are well trained selfless hero whose purpose and function in life  is to bring light where there is darkness.

Our Motto: Enlightenment through Morality, Discipline and Wisdom.

succintly expresses our proud living culture which is the training ground for our Dhamma Warriors.

Morality is developed through Right Speech, Right Action, and Right Livelihood.

Discipline is cultivated through Right Effort, Right Mindfulness, and Right Concentration.

Wisdom is cultivated through Right Understanding and Right Thinking.

These principles, known as the Noble Eightfold Path expounded by Lord Buddha, form the foundation of the upright noble conduct that pals relentlessly pursue. Yes, they are not abstract ideals; they guide every aspect of our teaching, shaping students into thoughtful, compassionate, and responsible Warriors.

Students Anjali_edited.jpg

So it is that unlike most schools, we do not measure success by academic grades alone. Our curriculum is holistic — integrating rigorous academics with deep moral development. Every lesson, every subject, and every experience is an opportunity to build character, cultivate morality, and strengthen spiritual (inner) clarity.

When parents and visitors walk through our school, they often sense something profoundly different. They see it in the way our students treat one another — with kindness, respect, and generosity. They hear it in their speech, witness it in their conduct, and feel it in their quiet confidence. These qualities are not coincidences; they are the fruit of an authentic education grounded in morality, discipline and wisdom.

Our goal is not just to prepare students to make a living but to prepare them to live a powerfully purposeful and relevant life. We guide them to see beyond personal gain and to understand their place in the world — to become young men and women who uplift themselves, their families, and their communities.

When your child graduates from Pal Buddhist School, they will leave with more than academic knowledge. They will leave with an awakened mind,  a generous heart, and the equanimity to sail through life’s hardship and turbulences. They will enter adulthood as noble leaders whose thought, speech, and action is a source of the light of hope, inspiration, and protection for both themselves and others.

I warmly invite you to join us on the road to life's higher purpose. Together, we can empower and protect our children and our future by providing effective medicines for the mind in the form of a noble enlightened education."

With loving-kindness,

(Founding Principal of  Pal Buddhist School)
