Selection Criteria

We are dedicated to building a thriving community, and our selection process reflects this commitment. We focus on several key areas to ensure a nurturing and enriching educational environment for all our students.

  • A Shared, Supportive Partnership: We value a strong, collaborative partnership with families. We seek parents who are committed to open communication and share our core values, recognising the importance of working together to support their child's educational journey.

  • Alignment with Our School's Ethos and Values: We look for families who resonate with our school's unique philosophy, which emphasises:

    • Holistic development, nurturing wisdom, compassion, and ethical conduct alongside academic excellence.

    • Cultivating inner peace, ethical behaviour, resilience, and compassionate leadership.

    • Respectful openness to our Buddhist-informed philosophy, welcoming families of all faiths and backgrounds.

  • Our School's Ability to Support Your Child: We carefully consider whether our school's environment, resources, and educational approach are well-suited to meet your child's individual needs. This involves understanding:

    • Your child's self-awareness and communication skills.

    • Their previous educational experiences.

    • Their academic development relative to their prospective classmates.

  • Your Family's Potential to Enrich Our Community: We consider how your family might contribute to our vibrant and inclusive school community, fostering a harmonious and compassionate environment.

  • Student Readiness and Interests (Year 5 and Year 7): For entry into Year 5 and Year 7, we assess your child's readiness for our program and their individual interests, alongside the application date, to ensure a smooth transition.
