We've been there.

This vision inspired Mr. Pal to create PAE — Pathways to Academic Excellence. Drawing on years of experience guiding hundreds of students through the HSC with consistently outstanding results, including ATARs averaging above 97+, he has distilled the essential principles behind student success into a framework tailored specifically for Pal students. More than just academic strategies, PAE equips students with the mindset, habits, and clarity of purpose needed to thrive — both in their studies and beyond.

Does Parent Involvement Make a Difference?

Countless studies confirm that parent involvement is a key factor in a child’s academic success. While our dedicated teachers and effective programs lay a strong foundation, the positive influence of parents extends into and well beyond the classroom.

When parents engage in meaningful conversations, show interest in their child’s progress, and model a growth mindset and high expectations towards learning, they create an environment where motivation and discipline can truly thrive. This genuine involvement isn’t about being an academic expert or providing direct homework help. It’s simply about asking your child about their schoolwork and listening. This is true for parents from all backgrounds and for those who may not be native English speakers. This kind of connection shapes values, nurtures curiosity, and provides the emotional stability that empowers children to tackle challenges with confidence.

At PAL, we consistently see that students with involved parents develop stronger habits, clearer goals, and a drive to excel in both their studies and in life.
