Right Speech
Cultivating truthful and upright moral speech.

What is
Right Speech?
Right Speech is truthful, uplifting, and purposeful communication. The Buddha taught that words should benefit others, avoid harm, and convey truth with kindness.

How We Cultivate
Right Understanding
Our public speaking training ground focuses on youth-relevant social dilemmas. Students analyse these issues through the lens of the Dhamma, learning to express themselves clearly, confidently, and ethically. Through competition, they develop the ability to use words to uplift, inspire, and communicate noble ideas rather than idle chatter.

Parents Role
Parents can reinforce Right Speech by modelling respectful, truthful, and positive communication at home.
Encouraging children to share their ideas, debate constructively, or explain their perspectives strengthens their verbal clarity, confidence, and ethical communication.
Parents are a child's number 1 teacher.

Testimonials
Right speech taught me to think deeper about the world around me by teaching me that although where we live now is peaceful or happy, other parts of the world don’t get that treatment.
|Tom
Right speech was my very first training ground. When I was back in Year 3, I realised that I had a skill of speaking. This allowed me to think deeper about the world by sharing it with others.
